Here's what charities and non-profits are saying about our car donation service...

I would like to thank you for your assistance and guidance in setting up the KPBS Vehicle Donation Program. As you know, it has succeeded beyond anyone's expectations.

Thinking about a Used Car Donation? Tips and Perspective

We're a nation of cars, with people attached. Some statistics say there are more cars than people in this country (and yes, that includes infants, invalids, and the incarcerated). We love cars (and some of us hate cars), we can't wait to own one, then we can't wait to get a better one. We like to show our cars to friends, family, and even strangers (provided they don't have a nicer car).

Cars and other vehicles permeate our society, our culture, our consciousness, and when you include trucks, motorcycle, rvs, boats, airplanes, and everything else that moves us or our goods from place to place, it's clear that transportation is one of the most critical aspects of modern life in the US. And within a few years it's likely that oil and gas prices will climb much higher (and make today's prices seem modest by comparison) due to increased demand from the populations of countries such as China and India, whose people appear to be only too happy to emulate our insatiable appetite for cars.

An interesting thing about cars (even though we don't admit it to ourselves): as soon as you buy a car and drive it off the lot - it's USED! So technically, except for the time between final manufacturing and purchase, all cars are USED CARS. Of course, we think of our cars as new long after they've been in our possession - usually until the first serious scratch appears on the door. But even though we don't think of them as new any longer, we don't classify them as used until we no longer want them.

In this series of articles we'll discuss used cars in all their glory, sometimes tongue-in-cheek and sometimes seriously, and hopefully give you some good ideas about what to do with them along the way.
